Access number issues: Alternate Number
June 7th, 2009
Our 949 259-9999 access number is running at max capacity this weekend and people are getting busy signals at time.
If you are having this problem, use (530) 645-5555. This access number routes through a different call center and should have plenty of capacity to handle everyone.
Sorry about the problems. We were told by our supplier that there was plenty of capacity on that number and are looking into why its throwing busy signals.

The Bangalore access numbers are not working. Keep getting a message that this number does not exist. Would someone be able to reply to the emails sent ?
Thanks
Yogesh
Chris,
(530) 645-5555 access number many a times gave the message saying it would be discontinued starting June XY date and asking users to use 949 259-9999. Hopefully you guys removed that message permanently

Thanks for pointing that out. We somehow left the message up on one of our servers. That number is fine and we have pulled the message.
The Bangalore numbers were down for a short period of time. They are back and working fine now.
Not sure how to start a new thread hence im posting this here.
Somehow I noticed that starting 16th June when I call india using my cell phone, the number displayed on India’s phone is a different number than my cellphone number. It always use to display my number on india’s phones which was kinda nice coz people know whos calling.
Anyone knowe the story behind this?
thanks
how can i call uk to Kearla
From the UK, dial 01191 then the local number in Kerala (including the city code).
We test out new carriers all the time. They should pass your cell number, but sometimes we find that certain carriers do not do that with all calls. If it’s still happening to you, email me (chris@indiald.com) with your account number so I can see what carrier your calls have been running over.
Hey Chris,
Please could you also try to get access numbers for Mumbai, India just like you have for Bangalore. Its easy for us when we travel to Mumbai too.
Thanks,
Ankit
Getting access numbers in India is not very easy right now. If things open up we will add more cities, but for now it’s just Bangalore.
Hi Chris:
To call from India LD, every time there is a message: “In the event of a bust signal, pl try our other ….” I understand the reason why IndiaLD did it, but it is one step addition to make the call. Each and every time, one has to listen (hence waste a few seconds) this message.
I think there should be an option to bypass this message after hearing it for the first time. This message adds to the inconvenience if someone is making frequent calls.
@Munish
The message is up because we need to balance traffic on our access number groups. This weekend we had no busy signals and saw traffic starting to balance out better between our two trunk groups, so I expect that we will take that message down in a couple of days.
how can i call from usa to uk
@anil
Call our access number. At the prompt, dial 01144 and the rest of the UK number. We only allow calls to UK landlines. Calls to mobile numbers will not connect.
I had the worst ever experience after using indiald. I was trying to call indian mobile numbers but the other party was not able to hear anything. I tries multiple numbers but the same issue was observed. I wasted 20 calls and researched so much. Finally came to know that its problem with indiald calling card. Airtel works fine atleast even if they don offer so much talk time.
@sudhir
I am very sorry that you had a bad experience using our product. We had an issue with one of our carriers last night which was most likely responsible for the problems that you had. This is a rare occurrence, but it does happen every once in a while. Unfortunately you got off on the wrong foot with us. I hope that you give IndiaLD another try and see why we have over 15,000 happy customers.
